Established in 2015, Satellite is known to be Houston's "Favorite Lil' Music Venue" located in Segundo Barrio (Second Ward), part of Houston's East East End Cultural District.
We prioritize safety, inclusion and transparency to make our space welcoming for ALL.
Satellite has an expansive history of booking local talent as well as national acts on our indoor and outdoor stages. The space is capable of hosting a variety of live music, events, festivals, film screenings, and more. Both our indoor and outdoor spaces are suitable for large and small gatherings.

Parking is best found on the surrounding streets but is HIGHLY limited. Bike/Scooter parking located on site. We are also conveniently located steps from the Houston METRO Green Line Rail.

Located on the bloodline of Houston, Satellite HTX was established to provide an intimate space for musical discovery and community driven events.
Established in 2015, Satellite is known to be Houston's #1 underground music venue located in the culturally rich Magnolia Park. The physical building and property is housed on the premises of a former rowdy neighborhood Chicano bar called La Tortuga in the early 1990s.
Like our predecessors, we like to carry on the tradition of being rowdy but also having a safe space open and welcoming place for all. Satellite has an expansive history of booking local talent as well as national acts. The space is capable of hosting a variety of live music, events, festivals, film screenings, and more. Outdoor and indoor spaces are suitable for large and small gatherings. Bike and car parking are located on site and surrounding, and METRORail’s Red Line Ensemble Station is right in front of the venue.
